Fortnite: Destroy Chrome Structures

One thing that players must know about this quest is that destroying structures that are already covered with Chrome at the beginning of a match will not count toward its completion. Instead, fans must throw Fortnite’s Chrome Splash at a structure that is not already Chromed to convert it, and then break that structure with a harvesting tool or weapon. While this can be done in both the standard Battle Royale and Zero Build game modes, it is recommended that players use the first of these two options.

This is recommended because fans can build their own structures in the standard Battle Royale game mode, giving them a great deal of control over where they complete this quest. Indeed, Fortnite players can simply start their matches by landing in a location where there is an abundance of Chrome Splash and building materials, such as Lustrous Lagoon, and then use the items that they collect to build structures, Chrome them, and then destroy them.

With respect to what fans will earn after they have destroyed 100 structures that they have covered with Chrome Splash, the reward is 20,000 XP. This reward is sure to be of interest to players that have their sights set on some of the cosmetic items that are available through the Season 4 Battle Pass, as it will push them ever closer to earning more Battle Stars. That said, 20,000 XP is just a small of fraction of what is needed to claim cosmetics like Fortnite’s Spider-Gwen skin, and fans that have their eyes on that outfit should make sure to complete the remaining Weekly Quests.

Fortunately, there is not much ambiguity to the other Week 3 Quests in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. Indeed, so long as a player uses the waypoints that are provided on the in-game map and aligns their gameplay with the quests’ instructions, they should have no trouble completing every one of these challenges and claiming all of their XP rewards.

Fortnite is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
