The Victory Royale Crown is the greatest desire for players of Fortnite. It shows just how far they have come, and how they have defied the odds of 99 other players. Utilizing the new hidden mechanics in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 means that players have a better chance of obtaining the dub.

8 Snowball

Many players might not find a use for the Snowball mechanic, but it is worth keeping in the back of the mind for just-in-case situations. The snow biome is vast, and if players use the harvesting tool to hit the snow on the floor, they can slowly build up a gigantic Snowball that can be entered at any time.

This tactic is pretty good at gaining speed and momentum for barrelling downhill toward enemies, or away from them. It can also be used simply to hide from opponents, that won’t suspect a fellow Looper is hiding out in an oversized Snowball.

7 Capture Points

Most POIs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 have Capture Points. These are indicated by the glowing white ring in a specific area of the POI, which does not change between games. If players defend within this circle for a certain amount of time, their banner will be raised, and act as a flag claiming the POI as their own.

Not only will players receive a bounty of loot for claiming the POI, but they will also receive a quick radar, which shows any nearby chests and enemy players that could be lurking within the vicinity of their Capture Point. These Points may be contested, but once claimed, cannot be overtaken.

6 Bike Shooting

The new bikes in Fortnite are a lot of fun for a multitude of reasons. They’re great for tricks and traversing, but one of the lesser-known things about the bikes is that players can continue to drive them while healing or shooting. This makes for a faster and more intense version of combat, as players can constantly be on the move in warfare.

If players find it difficult to drive and shoot, then they can enlist the help of a friend, and have a passenger on the back of their vehicle to shoot for them. Speed is a weapon in Fortnite, and so is teamwork with this new vehicle making its way through the terrain and battlefields of the game.

5 Hammer Time

The Shockwave Hammer is one of the newest weapons to grace Fortnite, and it sure packs a wallop. It has made quick impressions on players for its ability to both slam enemies with power and force and its use in getting away from danger. Yet, it has a few tricks, such as the ability to negate its cooldown with yet another Hammer.

Unlike most items that include momentum, the Shockwave Hammer can be equipped in every inventory slot, and the cooldown is specific to each Shockwave Hammer. This means that players can use 5 hammers, and by the time their movement ability runs out on the fifth, the first might have recharged, and so forth.

4 Slap Juice

Energy is important in Fortnite. It allows players to sprint and jump at a rapid pace, and enables them to either run from targets or towards them with a quickness unseen by those with drained stamina. Speaking of drained stamina, it can be a killer, but thanks to Slap Juice, players will have infinite stamina for a short duration.

Slap Juice can be found in orange berries, barrels, or energy drinks, which gives them infinite stamina. Players will know it’s activated thanks to the orange glow on their boots and the orange hue of their stamina bar.

3 Jellyfish Shockwaves

One of the newest additions to wildlife in Fortnite is the Jellyfish that roam in herds. Although harmless, these Jellyfish do not respond well to bullets or people being near them and will detonate on the floor like a shockwave grenade.

Considering that Shockwave Grenades have been Vaulted in Fortnite as of the beginning of Chapter 4 Season 1, these Jellyfish are the only way to get a Shockwave reaction, other than the Shockwave Hammer of course. It can be useful for gaining height or even blasting away.

2 Leaves Pile

Bush camping may have been a reviled tactic of Fortnite for many Chapters, but it seems that the power of this oversized foliage is at an end. Players can still hide in bushes, but it’s rather hard to see out of them. The same cannot be said for the stacks of autumn leaves that are lying on the map.

These raked piles of leaves that can be found are like the bushes of old, and players can hide within them, and see out of them with ease. They’re a lot smaller, meaning players that shoot from within are bound to take a few hits themselves, but it’s still worth noting.

1 Drones

Idly flying ahead in a few POIs are Drones. These small Drones can be fired upon and will crash into the floor to drop weapons and ammo. It’s a pretty effective way to get more ammo or loot or to just silence the bleeps and mechanical noises of the Drones as they fly about the POI.

Shooting them won’t be hard, as the Drones don’t exactly harbor any sentience, and their health isn’t outrageous. One or more bullets should do the trick, leaving players with more than they bargained for.

Fortnite is available to play for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
