Former Jacksonville University Receiver Wounded In Orlando Attack

Sumter, 27, attended Nease High School in Jacksonville along with Tim Tebow, according to the Florida Times-Union. The report said Sumter worked as a part-time bartender at Pulse, the club where the shootings occurred.

Sumter reportedly was shot three times and had surgery Monday. A supervisor at another Orlando club where Sumter worked said he was wounded in the arm and back.

“He always came to work with a smile,” Mango’s Tropical Cafe COO Joshua Wallack told the Times-Union, referring to Sumter. “He is a vibrant soul.”
