Exo One is an interesting sci-fi game developed by Exbleative and published by Future Friends Games. It sees players take on the role of a space-faring vessel, with gameplay revolving around increasing speed and releasing gravity to glide through the skies and atmospheres of uninhabited worlds at speed. Exo One was praised for its unique style of gameplay, impressive visuals and storytelling.

While the narrative does take somewhat of a backseat in Exo One, there is a story to be explored centered around an interplanetary mission gone wrong. The player will pick up pieces of the story as they follow a strange signal from level to level, slowly learning more about the details of the mission. The game received generally favorable reviews for both Xbox and PC. In a recent trailer, PlayStation confirmed that it would be heading to the platform in summer 2022. A few other titles are said to be making their way to PlayStation around this time too, such as the indie game Stray, where players become a stray cat.
Exo One’s PlayStation release doesn’t seem to be coming with any updates or extra content for the game. However, Exbleative’s first game doesn’t seem to need any extras to draw the eyes of potential players. With reviews claiming the game combines Tiny Wings, the work of Stanley Kubrick, and the indie hit Journey, Exo One should stand out both to fans of sci-fi and lesser-known games.
While PlayStation is adding Exo One and some other indie titles like We Are OFK to its line-up this summer, Game Pass is also getting new games. A few of Xbox’s Game Pass titles for May 2022 have already leaked online, and the subscription service has recently revealed three new games joining the roster, including a surprise bonus game on top.
Exo One is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions set for a summer release.
